GNO

I am always happy when one of our friends come from out of town so it gives us a reason to get together! Ali came home for a visit and was able to get our friend Brooke to come that I haven't seen since graduation! I feel very blessed to have such incredible friends in my life!

1st day of school

Monday was the kids first day of school, and I have to say, I am getting a lot more accomplished now that they are back! Ambree started 3rd grade, and Tayden is in 5th. They both really like their teachers which is nice! Of course I had to go to the bus stop and get pictures (much to Tayden's dissatisfaction) and this year there were no tears from mom!

Stephani's Wedding

On Saturday our niece Stephani got married. She asked Ambree to be the flower girl and Tayden to be the ring bearer. They did a great job and looked so cute!

Silver and gold!

I forgot to "unload" the pictures off my camera before we left, so I didn't get very many pictures of the kids playing soccer but they both did an amazing job. Ambree's team took 2nd place losing the gold medal game 1-0. Sadly, she was goalie at the time so she took the loss pretty hard even though it would have been very difficult to block the shot.
Tayden's team defeated a team they have never won in outdoor in the semi-finals to meet back up with the team they lost to in regular play only to win them in an overtime, shoot-out! Tayden was one of the kids selected to participate in the shoot-out and was aiming for the right, but kicked it right to the goalie. Oh well. We still won in a nail-biter!

Our "stay-cation"!

Our vacations this summer have consisted of summer tournaments, so we decided to get a hotel room for the kids tournament in Park City this past weekend. We had a great time and the kids did awesome in their games. We did a little school shopping at the outlets, went to the Olympic Park where Tayden rode the zipline and the alpine slide, and Scott and Ashton rode the ski lift and ended up getting to ride down the alpine slide for free. Ambree was too nervous to ride any of the rides, so we stayed down at the bottom with some friends and waited for the boys.

Ambree's new haircut

After much resistance from both mom and dad, Ambree cut her hair off that she has been growing out pretty much all her life! It does look pretty cute on her though!

Camp Beaver

Last weekend we went to Camp Beaver up Ogden Canyon for a little Gibson family reunion. The kids had a great time and so did Max. He wasn't quite sure what was going on and very nervous he was going to get left somewhere; anytime we opened the car door to get something he would hurry and jump in.
