Tayden's Cast

On Monday, January 3rd we took Tayden in to get his cast off. After they got the cast off they did an x-ray and found this his bone is not healing like the doctor would like it to because they found an "abnormality" on the bone. The doctor said they generally do not do surgery where his injury is, but it is still a possibility. Pretty frustrating. He has another appointment in two weeks to x-ray it again and see what it looks like. I wish they would have put another hard cast on him, but the doctor felt he would be okay in his "walking boot." Keep your fingers and toes crossed that all will go well! He is already so depressed missing out on a big soccer tournament in Vegas, and will now miss most of his basketball league.

Hardware Ranch

On New Year's Day we took the kids to Hardware Ranch with Grandma Gibson. The kids were amazed that they were able to see so many elk, and get so close to them. It was FREEZING cold, but so fun!

Christmas 2010

We had a fun Christmas this year at the Gibson household. Scott and I were super excited to surprise the kids with a trip to Disneyland. We gave each of the kids a rolling suitcase filled with Disney things. We even wrapped them in Disney paper! The kids were really excited, but Scott and I were probably more excited! We had originally planned to go in January, but when Tayden broke his ankle, we had to change plans a little, so we are going in February. We are really excited!

Tayden's Christmas

All Tayden wanted for Christmas this year was jerseys. He wanted a Williams/Jazz jersey, and a Miles Austin/Cowboys jersey. Luckily he got both of those so we was thrilled. He also got a snowboard (that he probably won't be able to use this year because of his broken ankle), a Wii game (Fifa 11), some weights so he can work out with his dad, and a ramp that he can ride on his bike or his skateboard. (Obviously Santa did his shopping BEFORE the broken ankle.) He is a great kid, and was so happy with everything he got- broken ankle and all!

Ambree's Christmas

Here are some pictures of Ambree's Christmas. She is such a sweetheart and is so appreciative of everything she gets. She was super excited for her moccasin shoes that she has wanted for a long time. She also got a guinea pig- that sadly- we had to give away. She was SO excited about it, but I was SO allergic to it. In replacement, she got to go down to Build a Bear in Salt Lake and pick out some new clothes for her bear. I felt like a jerk of a parent, but Ambree was very sweet and supportive and said she would rather have a mom instead of a guinea pig. She is such a sweetie!

Ashton's Christmas

Ashton was so cute for Christmas this year! He is at such a fun age! Everything he got, he was so excited about (except his Tag reading books- which he said right out he wasn't thrilled about.) He is a very creative person and loves to build and create things. I am always shocked and amazed of the things he creates out of legos. He turned his Batman Batcave into a robot that Batman drives. He also got a bike, more legos, and some other stuff.

Gibson Christmas Party

Santa came to the Gibson Family Christmas party again this year! We had a great time and played some fun "Minute to Win it" games. Everyone sits on Santa's lap and he asks what our Christmas wish would be. I told him mine would be for the kids to stop fighting in the car. He made them all come over and make a "Santa's promise" that they would try.

Nativity

Every year for Christmas we read the Nativity out of the scriptures and dress up (I am always the narrator.) The kids were really cute, but the outfits are getting small on them!
