Ambree's 8th B-day

Ambree turned 8 on Friday, the last day of school. It is hard to believe that she is already eight years old. I am so lucky to have her. She is the peace keeper in our family and it is so fun to have a little girl to do girly things with. She loves doughnuts so she brought doughnuts for her class treat, and then we made a cake out of them for her. Tayden was a sweetie and stayed up late making her posters for her birthday and woke up like it was Christmas morning in excitement for her to see them. She got teary eyed as she read them, because tender moments between these two are few and far between. She is also very excited for this upcoming Saturday when she will be baptized, especially since her aunt Julie is coming from Arizona. Happy Birthday Bree, we love you!

Tracy Aviary Field Trip

Yesterday Ambree and I went on a field trip to the Tracy Aviary. It was fun looking at all the cool birds, however, an owl about took my head off in the bird show! That didn't help my phobia of birds. She had fun feeding the ducks and went out of her way to make sure they all got some food. What a cutie!

The prophet said to plant a garden...

The boys planted our garden on Saturday and they did a terrific job. The easy part is over, now comes the hard part- WEEDING!

$120 Beesting

My cute little puppy got stung on the nose and his nose swelled up and he clawed at his face until he looked like he had been in a fight with a badger! Poor little thing, all the neighborhood dogs were teasing him for wearing a cone.

Ashton's Preschool Program

Ashton had his preschool program last night and is now done with school for the summer. He had a great first year of preschool and had an excellent teacher. He was able to go with two friends and he really enjoyed school. Kind of sad to think my "baby" is growing up.

Play ball!

Ambree is playing softball again this year and is doing great. She is a great little athlete (thanks to dad) and can really hit the ball! She's also made some really good catches on first base.

Renaissance Fair

Last Saturday we went to the Renaissance Fair (we had free tickets.) The kids had public baths (see the pictures) and were able to see real knights jousting. It was pretty cool!

Webelos Badge

Tayden earned his Webelos badge last night and we are so proud of him! What a good boy he is.

Friendship Cup Champions

We went to Pocatello last weekend for a tournament and Tayden's team took gold! What a good, fun group of boys! Their coaches are the best, as well. Tayden scored 5 goals, and I think they only had one goal scored against them the whole tournament.

Fishing with Dad

Ashton had a fun field trip at preschool where they went fishing, and Scott took the day off work to go with him. They had a great time, and he looked great while doing it. (Note the pants tucked into the cowboy boots he never takes off!)

Real Game

Tayden and his dad went to a SLC Real game and Tayden was SO excited. They had really good seats and Tayden was in absolute heaven! They tied with the LA Galaxy (he got to see Ronaldo) so it was a very good game.

Burken, Ashton, and Gage

I thought this was a cute picture of Ashton playing with his friends. He loves to play dress-up, and if you ask him what he wants to be when he grows us he will tell you "Iron Man."

Burken is "Robin", Gage is Batman, and Ashton is Woody/Superman. What funny kids!

Ashton's Farm Field Trip

Ashton's preschool teacher also runs a dairy farm so they were able to go on a tour. Ashton was a little nervous of the cows so he didn't get too close, but he had a great time and he LOVED seeing the big tractors. They got to make butter from whipping cream and also ate cheese from the cows.
