Treehouse Field Trip

Yesterday Ashton and I went on a date to his field trip. It was fun just spending time with him, and following him around at the things he wanted to do. They added a new western exhibit which Ashton just loved. Luckily, he wore his cowboy boots to the field trip! I have struggled with him lately, but have found that the reason is that he is just like me. He is very shy and afraid to try new things. Hopefully I can help him grow up and not have these same issues as an adult.

"Mink" and Dave's Wedding

My sister Monique got married on Tuesday. Everything was really pretty and they look very happy together. She got married in her friends basement (which is a HUGE mansion) so it felt more like a reception center. Monique is now the mother to her 3 year Chloe, and a 17 year Katie. She is not a "Klomp" anymore. Her new last name is Halterman. Congratulations Mink!

AJ and Laura's Halloween Party

My brother AJ and his wife Laura threw an awesome Halloween party! Halloween is Laura's favorite holiday, and it was also in celebration of my brother's 26th birthday. My kids said it was the best party EVER! The played fun games and went to great efforts to make it fun for the kids AND adults. It was also fun to see everyone all dressed up. Dad was the abominable snowman, mom was an over the top spurs fan, Laura was an old lady that lost her dog, my brother was a 3 musketeer, and Scott and I dressed up as Sonny and Cher,Mink was a chicken and Chloe was "igger". They were a little late so they weren't in the group picture. Thanks guys for a fun evening!

Halloween costumes

This year for Halloween the kids dressed up as:
Tayden- Hannah Montana. He tried to chicken out of this at the last minute but didn't have any other options. He felt much better after he got to school and realized that 3 other boys had dressed as girls as well. For Halloween night Tayden changed his mind and was Ricky Bobby. It is a standing joke between our friends.
Ambree- Goth Girl. She wanted to be something scary this year, so we tried to make her cute/scary. She's cute regardless!
Ashton- Woody/Bullseye. You can't see from the pictures but he also had a Bullseye costume which is horse that looks like he's riding it. On Halloween night, however, for trick or treating he decided to wear his Batman costume from last year. I was also able to go to the school dressed as a Zombie for Tayden's Halloween party. It was a lot of fun watching him in his element.

Field Trip to the Corn Maze

Ashton and I were able to go on a field trip to the corn maze with his preschool class. We had a lot of fun but it was freezing cold! He got to go through the corn maze, pick a pumpkin, and then eat sack lunches. Fun times!

More soccer!

Ashton has now started soccer and is loving it! It does make our schedules a little busier, but after years of watching big brother and big sister, he knows exactly what to do. His team is the Yellow Lions and his dad is his coach. He is really aggressive, sometimes too agressive, but he is having a great time and we are loving cheering him on!

WSU Football Game

Our family was selected to be the "Family of the Game". We got free tickets and were featured on the jumbotron. The kids were excited to be featured, but not me. Luckily I was out of frame, and sadly the kids were covered with the logo so it was basically Scott. We also sat by one of Scott's friends, Rich who is an Orthodontist and he helped Tayden take out a loose tooth. It was a lot of fun!
